SQL Server 2008 R2 could drop in May

Microsoft has shed more light on when customers can expect the latest version of SQL Server, due out in the first half of 2010.

The latest version of Microsoft's database platform was expected to be released in the first half of next year, and it looks like it will drop with a month or two to spare.
