Oracle user group survey reveals ERP upgrade trends

Users of the Oracle E-Business Suite are quicker to move to newer versions of the package than users of PeopleSoft and JD Edwards suites, a trend that appears to reflect the more templated approach embodied in the native Oracle product.

As part of its annual survey, the UK Oracle Users Group gathered data on which versions of the enterprise applications in the Oracle portfolio its members were using. The results showed that 65% of E-Business Suite respondents were using the latest version of 11i, with 21% using the slightly older 11.5.9 release. Only 2% had taken up version 12, which was announced at the start of 2007.
