An infringement over a DB2 migration tool, from CAs Datacom database, is in question.
CA has sued software developer ISI Software for infringement of copyright over a DB2 migration tool that would migrate clients off of CAs Datacom database to DB2; claiming that ISI reproduced source and object code, did so without CA authorization, and cost CA licensing fees. Interesting notes on the lawsuit include CAs issue with various wording within ISSs website and marketing material, noting that ISS used degrading wording such as Is your legacy data stuck in CA-Datacom?, and referring to CA programs as dying.
