Microsoft has found a home for its "Oslo" modeling technology – in the SQL Server database family.

Microsoft has found a home for its "Oslo" modeling technology – in the SQL Server database family.

The project codenamed "Oslo," is Microsoft's ambitious data modeling initiative that consists of three parts: a modeling language known as "M," a modeling tool known as "Quadrant," and a repository. These components will now become part of the SQL Server family and will be available in a new Community Technology Preview (CTP) that will become available at the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference (PDC), which runs November 17-19 in Los Angeles.
