IBM hits the road with new mobile database

IBM today announced the introduction of DB2 Everyplace 8, a new software suite, for the Middle East market. Targeted at remote and mobile workers with smart phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and laptops, who need real-time access to the corporate database.

IBM today announced the introduction of DB2 Everyplace 8, a new software suite, for the Middle East market. Targeted at remote and mobile workers with smart phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and laptops, who need real-time access to the corporate database.

Built on IBM's DB2 database and Websphere application server, Everyplace technology is a part of IBMs pervasive computing strategy, making it easier for customers to connect any type of device to any type of network to access any type of data.
