IBM offers fast track to DB2 v8 certification

IBM today announced two new certification exams for DB2 v8, one a quick upgrade for database administrators already certified on v7, the other an advanced exam. The new certifications are designed to meet the growing demand for DBAs and recognize their expanding roles in complex IT environments.

IBM has altered its certification track so that DBAs can complete v8 testing quickly and less expensively this year than last. The company has added two new exams, one a DB2 v8 upgrade test for those who are already certified on v7, and another known as the Advanced Database Administrator v8 certification exam.
