IBM has updated the NotesSQL driver to offer better performance in server applications. The driver makes Domino databases, which aren't relational, look like relational data sources to an ODBC-enabled tool. Relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle or DB2 can issue SQL statements to Domino.
The NotesSQL ODBC driver for Notes and Domino lets ODBC-enabled data reporting tools, database tools, and application development tools read, report, and update information stored in Domino .NSF files. Users and application developers can use the driver to integrate Domino data with their applications using tools such as Crystal Decisions Crystal Reports, Microsoft Visual Basic, Access, Brio, and Lotus Approach.
