With a recent report on the database market saying the number of new applications and specialty databases will grow in the broadening market, object database vendors are touting deals for their products.

The Boston-based Aberdeen Group predicted in a report released this week that the database market will top $10 billion by 2003 and that specialized databases and Microsoft's SQL Server, by supporting high-end applications, will help expand the market for database systems.
