MySQL Cluster for high availability, simplified management, and quicker development for Java applications.

Putting a stake in the ground and proving an investment in MySQL development, Oracle has announced a new release of MySQL Cluster; introducing MySQL Cluster Manager and MySQL Cluster Connector for Java. Cluster Manager will help enable DBAs to quickly respond to SLAs while Cluster Connector will help improve development cycles. Also improved is database scalability to handle varying workloads by supporting in-memory and disk-based data, automatic data partitioning with load balancing, and the ability to add nodes to a running cluster with zero downtime.

Said Edward Screven, Oracle chief corporate architect. “With the new MySQL Cluster 7.1 release enhancing high availability and simplifying management of real-time telecom and embedded applications, companies can deliver new services faster and more reliably.”
