Customers leveraging older releases of Microsoft’s data platform should be aware of imminent end of support deadlines and act accordingly by upgrading their IT infrastructure to the latest versions of SQL Server. • SQL Server 2008 RTM you’ve got just 3 months to upgrade to the most recent release, Service Pack 1.
  • If you haven’t upgraded to SQL Server 2005 SP2 then too bad as time has basically ran out.
  • SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 support will end January 12, 2010. That’s today and you should upgrade to SQL 2005 SP3 or SQL 2008 SP1 immediately.
  • SQL Server 2008 RTM support will end on April 13, 2010 and you should upgrade to SQL Server 2008 SP1
